The Origin Story

It Started On A Dam.

Jacques on a boat

1996 — The Moment That Changed Everything

Jacques is out on his boat when his battery gives up on him. No tools. No way to swap it out. Completely stranded in the middle of the water. That day planted a seed that would grow into something no one in the world had ever made.

"

What if you could change a battery with nothing but your hands — anywhere, anytime?

That night he sat down with a pen and paper and sketched out what would become one of South Africa's most unique electrical engineering products.

By 2001, Invacon had a worldwide patent. They sold 20,000 sets across multiple industries. Then life happened — and Invacon went quiet.

But nobody else ever cracked the idea. Not in 30 years. Now it's back.
